The Winds include the highest peaks in the Rockies north of Colorado and the largest glaciers in the U.S. outside of Alaska and the coastal Northwest. Vertical granite peaks, countless lakes, high conifer forests and wildflowers galore characterize this exciting high-altitude landscape! Bighorn sheep, elk, moose, bear, and other wildlife thrive here. This trip is strenuous with off-trail and above-tree-line hiking. Weather can vary by the minute. The trip's base is Jackson, Wyoming.
