I visited Patagonia for the first time as a backpacker years ago. While in Patagonia the landscapes and feelings I had took my breath away and I decided to make Patagonia my permanent home. After years traveling and a professional education in the field of Tourism, my love for outdoor activities had become my dream career; I began working as a guide in Torres del Paine. Within my first season in the park, I had guided dozens of excursions; I studied literature on the park and learned from veteran guides of the region. I was enamored with Patagonia. I spent five more seasons guiding in Patagonia, specifically Torres del Paine. I had become a professional guide, someone that the newer guides learned from. My love and enthusiasm for adventure only made me want to share the places I adore with more people.

I, like many, love to travel. Being curious about foreign places and how other people live, I spent time during college studying abroad. I finished with a BA in Education and in Geography from The University of Texas and left to see the world. I moved to Puerto Natales to teach English, and mainly to learn about the culture in Chile and to learn Spanish. I did both, and in doing so fell in love with the things that are different between my culture and theirs. I wanted to stay in Patagonia, and therefore began guiding in Torres del Paine. During this time I learned that guiding is actually teaching people about a part of the world, which allowed me to combine education with geography. In Torres del Paine I consistently had students (aka tourists) eagerly wanting to learn. I love guiding and long to show others the world.
