Debra started Nomadic Adventures after 11 years of lecturing Sociology at University, when she discovered that this is "her bliss". With a "passion for the peaks," discovering new and exciting destinations, Debra has traveled extensively. Having traveled through every destination, her treks to date include four Kilimanjaro summits, Mt Meru, Inca Trail and two Everest Advanced Base Treks to 6340m.

Maggie joined Nomadic Adventures after spending 17 years working as a travel agent, seeking to expand her knowledge of grass routes tour planning and coordination. From Kenya to Miami, Maggie has traveled the world. She is fluent in Portuguese and apart from tours, handles all in-house flight bookings.
| Dr Johan Bouwer - Medical Consultant
Dr Bouwer has been in medical practice for the last 36 years, after qualifying with MBChB (Pret) and then MFGP (Rhod). He screens all of the pre-climb medical questionnaires that clients complete.
| Noang Gyalzen Sherpa
Like many of our sherpas, Noang has spent several years guiding people through the Himalaya's. He feels most at home when wielding an ice axe and fixing rope lines on high col treks. He is one of our top guides along with Tengi Jambu Sherpa, who is not only our top mountain bike guide but who also holds a personal record for cycling 3200km across Tibet in 54 days.

Juma and Charles are two of our Kilimanjaro mountain guides. Both started out as porters and then trained to become cooks, before taking extra English lessons, learning about flora and fauna, and training to become mountain guides. Together, they have been guiding people up Kilimanjaro for over 18 years.
