Overview
Trekking, Climbing, Touring & Custom Designed Adventure Travel to the Far Reaches of the Great Himalaya Mountains One World Trekking is a collection of friends wanting to share their passion for adventure travel with you. Since 1990, the members of One World Trekking have been organizing, marketing, selling and guiding worldwide adventure travel tours. They see themselves as a co-operative of experience and talent that few companies possess. Andy Crisconi, the company’s director based in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, has over 20 years of Himalayan travel experience and will be your main contact. One World’s goal is not to wow you with lots of bells and whistles, but to provide you with sound advice and a quality trip at a competitive price. They are able to keep prices down by not publishing a fancy color brochure. One World’s website is a brochure and they will do as much communicating with you as possible by email and telephone.
One World Trekking’s roots are in the Himalayan countries and mountain regions of Nepal, Ladakh, Tibet, Bhutan and Pakistan. In 1988, One World took their first trekking groups into the Karakoram and Hindu Kush Ranges of Northern Pakistan. Since these first wild trips over two decades ago, they have been fortunate to work with the best overseas operators and build an incredible support system in the regions that they travel. These long-standing relationships and friendships translate into a quality, safe, healthy and fun trip for you.
About One World Trekking’s Trips… At One World Trekking, they go about things a bit differently…
One World offers a collection of tried and true tours that they call the Himalayan Classic Treks. They do not set fixed group dates for these treks. Rather, One World is able to arrange these time tested itineraries during the best months to trek on custom dates that work for your group. Most of these classic treks, such as Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit, are available for a group size of 1 to 12 people and are led by a professionally trained, English-speaking Nepali trekking guide, along with a full support crew. Also, on most of these itineraries, you have the option of a tented camping trip with cook crew or a lodge trek.
The Epic Himalayan Journey series represents an outlandish program of unique, off-the-beaten-path trekking adventures, such as the Inner Dolpo and Manaslu and The Lost Valleys treks. These Western-guided treks were created to cure the 'been there done that' syndrome and provide the experienced and the first-time Himalayan trekker with an epic mountain trekking and cultural experience. These are the gourmet trekking journeys of the great Himalaya mountain ranges. One World does set fixed dates for these treks and minimum group numbers do apply.
Finally, One World Trekking is able to offer all of their treks on a private basis where you are able to customize the dates and the trekking itinerary to suit your group’s desires.
Advertised trips are fully-inclusive (except for personal expenses and some lunch and dinner meals) upon arrival in the destination city. On your trip you will be escorted by an experienced Western leader and/or a professionally trained, English-speaking Nepali trekking guide and supported by a team that will include a cook, various assistants, porters and/or pack animals. Even while offering you custom dates, One World’s competitive pricing and quality service on trek rivals that of companies charging twice the amount.
