Overview
Hiking and Bicycling Adventure Vacations Throughout Western U.S. & Canada
For the past 21 years, Timberline Adventures has been committed to the creation of bicycling and hiking adventures that are unique in content addressed to cyclists and hikers who are passionate about cycling and hiking vacations. Timberline is a program created by cyclists and hikers for cyclists and hikers. In the season ahead, Timberline will offer 34 bicycling and 21 hiking itineraries with a particular emphasis on the national parks and monuments of the west. Programs are planned in all of the western states, including Alaska, and the western Canadian Provinces. Timberline’s Heartland category includes programs in Texas, Missouri, South Dakota and Michigan. All Timberline programs are van-supported, inn-to-inn experiences, including overnights in many of the historic inns that are an integral part of a visit to a national park.
Timberline also offers a poignant illustration of the value of a small “ma and pa” organization maintaining a focus on what they always have done best - western bicycling and hiking adventure vacations. It’s always been Carol and Dick, along with their “kids”, both real and presumptive (their extended family of tour leaders). They will be on the road and trail cycling and hiking with you -whining with you in the headwinds and the rain, and sharing the joy, exhilaration and utter sense of accomplishment that is a part of every Timberline adventure.
The West is their home and they believe that the West is special - its undulating terrain, its majestic grandeur, the challenge of its mountains and the incomparable peace and solitude of its valleys. Dick and Carol also believe that you’ve never really experienced the West until you experience the joy and pride of doing so as the product of your own power and spirit.
